Dr. Do Young Kim is an Assistant Professor in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at the Oklahoma State University. Dr. Kim’s research interests are in organic/inorganic nanomaterials and their use in optical energy harvesting/conversion applications including organic/inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells, organic light-emitting diode (OLED) solid-state lighting (SSL), and organic infrared light up-conversion devices. Prior to joining the Oklahoma State University he was a Research Scientist as well as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Florida (2009-2015). He is a co-founder and a Scientific Advisor of two startup companies – NIRVision, LLC and nVerPix, LLC. He also worked as a research scientist at the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT), South Korea (2002-2006). Dr. Kim received his PhD from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Florida in 2009. He also received his B.S. degree (1999) and M.S. degree (2002) in physics from Kyung Hee University, South Korea. Dr. Kim has 39 peer-reviewed journal publications and 41 patent disclosures.
