Nick Shumaker, Oklahoma Electric Cooperative

Nick Shumaker is an Electrical Engineer from Texas A&M that has been serving as the Manager of System Engineering at Oklahoma Electric Cooperative since 2016. He serves a large variety of technical functions including managing the utility’s electric grid design, electric and civil code enforcement, protective relay programming, Smart Grid communication implementation and serves as the SCADA administrator. In addition he oversees the companies renewable energy portfolio which includes residential and grid sized projects. He gives monthly solar tours at OEC’s innovative urban Solar Garden located in Norman, OK
